a good opportunity to share with colleagues in your section work you
are doing.
Undergraduate Mathematics Conferences
The MAA provides information on regional
Undergraduate Mathematics Conferences. These are meetings where undergraduate and
graduate students can share with undergraduates work that they are doing.
Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM)
- AWM sponsors and co-sponsors workshops at many Math meetings.
- AWM annually presents the
Emmy Noether Lectures.
- Check on 2001 deadlines for grant applications and award nominations.
These days consist of a program of workshops, talks, and problem-solving competitions for
high school women students and their teachers, both women and men. The website provides links to
previous events.
Mathematics Awareness Month

Expanding Your Horizons conferences nurture 6-12th
grade young women's interest in science and math
courses and encourage them to consider science and
math-based career options through hands-on workshops
with women role models who have math-based and
science-based careers.
