Project: SWIM (Successful Women In Mathematics) (
trying for funding)
- Its aim is to help develop mentor-mentee relationships
between mathematics faculty and aspiring young women who are
already math majors or those who take mathematics courses
beyond pre-calculus and show promise in the same universities
and colleges where these faculty are employed. It is intended
to include several academic institutions in the states of
Michigan, Wisconsin (which is the home state of the proposers),
Illinois and Minnesota.
