WOMEN AND MATHEMATICS 
A Program for Winning Women into Mathematics
Administered by the Mathematical Association of America
WAM is an advising and mentoring program whose purpose is to stimulate interest in
mathematics among all students, regardless of their career choices. It is a program to motivate
and inspire students, especially young women, towards careers in mathematics, science, and
technology. By sharing experiences from their careers and lives, WAM consultants create
excitement for learning and open new doors for growth and direction. WAM makes a difference
for students.
