WOMEN AND MATHEMATICS ORGANIZATION

WAM is a group of over 500 female volunteers whose careers reflect the many ways that quantitative methods are used. These consultants, active in 12 regions of the country, come from business, industry, government, and academia. They are professionals from the mathematics and computer sciences, the physical and natural sciences, the medical and the social sciences. They are actuaries, engineers, statisticians and researchers, architects, businesswomen, designers and stockbrokers. WAM consultants are not all mathematicians, but all have found mathematics important in their careers.
