WOMEN AND MATHEMATICS - Southern California

Focus

This year the Southern California region will be looking to get members involved with programming, the Excellence in Mathematics selection committee, and mentoring activities, as well as speaking opportunities at local schools and programs. If any Southern California member is interested, please contact the coordinator, Rachel Winston at CGCV01A@PRODIGY.COM, 714-833-7706, or fax 714-833-1450.

This year we are also planning to present Excellence in Mathematics awards to talented students in the Southern California region. If you know of a student who you believe is highly talented, please email or fax your address or that of the candidate for an application. The application deadline for the fall awards is December 15 and the spring awards April 15. The selection committee will make its decision and send out awards in January and May.

Leadership opportunities are available in the Southern California region. You can help provide talented students with information and guidance. We look forward to working with you.
