Pretzel Dip
This is the base recipe which is very good, although I
found it bit salty.
-- Juli Stolt
8 oz. cream cheese
4-6 green olives with pimento, diced
1-2 Tbsp milk (start with 1 - no more than 2)
1/2
- 3/4 tsp garlic salt
1/2
- 3/4 tsp celery salt
Whip cream cheese with a fork - add olives and 1 tablespoon of
milk and stir. Add garlic salt and celery salt and beat with
a fork.
Add additional tablespoon of mild to make creamy, but firm.
This is the way I made this recipe. However, you can
pretty much add whatever you want depending on your
particular flavor preference. I was actually thinking
dill (instead of or in addition to the basil) might be
really good as well.
-- Juli Stolt
8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
3/4
- 1 cup sour cream (to stretch out the recipe a little)
1 Tbsp Basil flavored Olive Oil
8-10 green olives with pimento, diced
1 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. poppy seed
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper (is there any other kind?)
1/4 tsp. Spike or any other random season salt of your choice
1/4 cup crushed dried basil leaves
Soften cream cheese and combine with sour cream, olive oil and
milk stir til smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Chill and serve with pretzels. Equally good with tortilla
chips.
Enjoy !
